The Dammah

Damma is a word, that in the Pali tongue, means the Way, the order, or righteousness. The Dhammapada is the Buddhist Canon, containing the teachings of the Buddha.

This word Damma is found at least 45 times in the Old Testament. King David uses it 7 times in the Book of Psalms.

In Psalms 48:9, David writes of the “Damah checed”, which translated, is “the Way, or Order, of loving kindness and mercy”. It is indeed, a beautiful description of the Buddha’s teachings.

Following are some scriptures which illuminate the Dammah.  I have translated them using the tongues of the gentile nations, the tongues in which they were written.

In Psalms 89:6, David writes:

Arak Yehovah ben el damah Yehovah: “the order of the sons of Jehovah is the mighty Damah of Jehovah”.

Scholars have translated this verse to read “For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?”

As you can see, these two translations are quite different. Hosea explains why.

Hosea 12:10

“The prophets have multiplied and increased the revelation/vision of the Dammah. The hand/Torah of the prophets is wickedness and iniquity…”

(In scripture, the hand is used as a symbol of Torah. The hand has 5 fingers. Torah has 5 books.)

In the tongues of the gentile nations, Psalm 50:21 reads:

“Write the Dammah of Life to clarify the Order for the discerning eye. Apostacize from the god who tears in pieces.  Abandon Sacrifice. Confess the great way, the appointed path, to see salvation.”

Jesus taught this exact principle saying,  “I will have mercy (the Dammah) and not sacrifice (Torah). Go and learn what this means.”

Psalms 144:4

“…The Dammah is the Breath of Life…”

Song of Solomon 8:14

“The light of David is the beauty of the Dammah (the law of loving kindness and mercy)”

Song of Solomon 7:7

“The High Damma is a palm tree, in whose bosom are clusters of dates.”

Numbers 33:56

“The work of the Dammah observe…”

Song of Solomon 1:9

“A beloved woman is the Dammah, the Way of the great house of Susa. Her cheeks are beautiful, her neck is kissed with pearls…”

Pearls are used here to symbolize the Dammah. Pearls are born twice. They are first born of the sea (water) and then born again, out of the Mantle, representing spirit. As Jesus taught, those who follow him must also be twice born, once out of the waters of Moses (Torah), and again out of the spirit of Elijah. Pearls keep the gates of New Jerusalem, in the book of Revelation. These are those that have ears to hear and eyes to see.

The Magen David

Magen is a Sanskrit word, meaning THE WAY of Dammah, or the way of loving kindness and mercy. It also occurs 45 times in the Old Testament. David writes of it 16 times in the book of Psalms.  It has been translated as the word Shield.

David compares the Magen (The Way of Loving Kindness) to Torah in Psalm 119, as follows:

106: Shaba quwm shamar tsedeq mishpat anah

I have sworn to stand up and guard those who treasure up and practice justice.

107:  m@od chayah yehovah dabar

Jehovah’s words are the Life Force

108: ratsah nedabah peh yehovah lamad mispat

Of those who delight in free will.  In the mouth of Jehovah are the teachings of justice.

109: nephesh tamiyd kaph shakach towrah

The breath of life remains forever in her hand. Abandon Torah.

110: rasha Nathan pach ta’ah piqquwd

It is the order of wickedness. Its statutes are an overspreading net of sin.

111: eduwth nachal owlam sasown leb

  Judith possessed the heart of eternal rejoicing.

WHO IS JUDITH?

Genesis 26:34

Esau, of the nation of Arba (the 4 noble truths), at the time of the Son, received Issa (the Son )of the daughters of Judith, who manifestated the Life Force. The morning star is the Life Force of the daughters of incense.

Judith was the Canaanite wife of Esau and the grandmother of the morning star, who is Gatama.

112: natah leb asah choq owlam eqob

With an open heart she practiced the eternal law of karma

113: sane ceaph towrah ahab

She hated the hypocrisy, the divided mind (duality) of Torah.

114: ahab cether MAGEN yachal dabar

She loved the refuge of the (MAGEN) The Way. She hoped in the Word.

115: cuwr raa natsar mitzvah elohiym.

And turned away the wicked who keep the commandments of Allah.

116. camak imrah chayah

She rested within the Word of Life.

117. buwsh seber caad yasha shaah choq tamiyd

Those who wait for the comforter and look for the redeemer in the statutes of the Talmud will be ashamed.

118. calah shagah choq tormah shaqer

They lift up error. Their torah is falsehood,

119. shabath rasha eres ciya

In it Rest the wicked and the refuse of the earth.

120. ahab edah basar….

Love the testimony of the good news….

121. camar pachad yare mishpat asah mishap tsedeq yanach

Fearful, dreadful and terrible are their judgments. Practice the law of Justice.

The Magen David is the Way or Order of Love.
